Who is Sal Salvo?
First and foremost, I am a family man. I have 5 children and a loving wife. I have built my business around helping families financially. I personally believe that family is the most important aspect of one's life and having your finances in order can only help to improve your family.
I grew up in my father’s family owned business named the Atlantic Candy Kitchen in Seaside Heights, NJ. I personally saw my own father struggle financially. Growing up, we didn’t have much, but my father always did what he could to make sure we had food on our table each night. He worked 7 days a week. I’ve never known a harder worker.
A little over a decade after my father retired from the Atlantic Candy Kitchen, he ran out of money. Thankfully, my siblings and I were able to support him until his passing at the incredible age of 98.
I thought to myself, what would have happened if we weren’t able to support him? How would things have ended for my father?
At the time, I was in the early stages of my financial career. I was a financial adviser, offering the typical, basic financial planning.
It was at this point that I decided I wanted to become an expert in the area of income tax strategies, charitable planning, estate planning, and investment planning. I wanted to prevent what happened to my father from happening to others.
This was a pivotal point in my career. I went on to start Summit Financial Resources in 1982, from my secretary’s kitchen with the goal of building a comprehensive financial planning firm, with all the necessary specialization and support under one roof.
Today, Summit Financial Resources, Inc., and Summit Equities, Inc. Member FINRA/SIPC are privately owned financial planning and wealth management firms that advise clients on over $3 billion in assets.
The Salvo Wealth Group is my private practice inside of Summit Financial Resource Inc. where my team and I help our clients build the best possible financial strategy.
